First off, thanks for sticking it out with me while Heather is away! As mom’s we sometimes need a bit of a break, even if that break includes taking time to spend with your kiddo’s. This week’s recipe is a classic with a bit of a twist. OK, fine, it’s chef salad in a jar, but still! Who doesn’t love a classic chef salad. I know I do. This one is super easy and I love that it includes ingredients most of us probably already have in our house.

- 1.5 cups spring mix
- 1.5 cups chopped romain lettuce
- ¼ cup diced ham
- ¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ⅛ cup grated carrot
- 6-8 cherry tomatoes
- 1 tsp diced red onion
- 1 hardboiled egg
- Prepare all ingredients and layer in a 1 Quart mason jar.
- Toss and serve with dressing.
