Learn how to make easy chick cupcakes with this quick recipe that is perfect for celebrating Easter!
These adorable Chick Cupcakes are super easy to make.

I was inspired by the ones from Martha {we’re on a first name basis, didn’t ya know?} where she used the entire cupcake as the body of the chick.  I decided to keep it simple and just decorate the top.  Be sure to check out these cute Bird Nest Cupcakes too!

Too busy to make this right away?! Pin it for later!  Pin this recipe to your favorite cupcake board on Pinterest and it’ll be waiting for you when you’re ready.

I used toasted coconut for the body, licorice for the ‘hair’, graham crackers for the beak and black gel icing for the eyes.  Oh and I filled each vanilla cupcake with raspberry pie filling.  Raspberry and coconut?!?  My new favorite combo for sure!

A batch of these little guys were off to school with the little miss and preschool with the boys last Wednesday.  They were also one of the cupcakes that we decorated during my Cupcake Creations course last Monday!  Fun right?!?  I have the best job!

We’re loading the van this morning for an eight hour road trip with the kiddos.  I can’t wait for some family time!  We’re all staying in a hotel so the kids are pretty excited about the pool.  I’m looking forward to our glow-in-the-dark Easter egg hunt {using this fab plastic eggs and glow sticks idea}.   The kids are seasoned travelers but I may use some of Cheri’s 10 Ways to Keep Kids Happy in the Car ideas too.

My kitchen essentials for baking:

  • I love using this non-stick bakeware for all of my baking.
  • These silicone mitts are perfect for grasping hot pans and baking dishes.
  • This Henckel Knife is my favorite for slicing and dicing in the kitchen.
  • These parchment paper bags are perfect for packaging and these large Rubbermaid food storage containers are great for storing baking in the freezer.

Have an absolutely wonderful Easter Weekend!  I’ll be back on Tuesday with another fun Tutorial.
