Ingredients:

  • 6 all beef hot dogs
  • 6 hot dog buns
  • 2 cups hot dog sauce, prepared
  • Medium white onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, finely shredded

These Harvest all beef franks are our favorite hot dogs but any beef dog will do. Remove any natural casings or plastic wrap that may be on the dogs before cooking.

To make the coney sauce simply follow this hot dog sauce recipe. You will need; lean ground beef, yellow onions, tomato sauce, chili powder, brown sugar, salt and black pepper.

The chili sauce is cooked in a large skillet over medium heat before adding it to this coney island hot dog recipe.

How to Bake Hot Dogs Process

Directions:

1. Place the dogs on a sheet pan or in a baking dish.

2. Bake the hot dogs in the oven at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes.

3. Using tongs, place each dog into a fresh bun.

4. Top with several tablespoons of the ground beef mixture.

5. Add diced onion and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
