This is the second year that I have participated in a Christmas cookie exchange.
I love trying out new treats and swapping much-loved recipes.
I learned a lot from last year and decided NOT to make thirteen dozen sugar cookies!! LOL
Instead I made our “Danger” Cracker Toffee that is even more delicious and quick to make.
Do you participate in a cookie exchange? What is your favorite cookie?
And do you have any tips? I would love to hear them!

I like to divide up all of the goodies into separate freezer safe containers. I mix up all of the different cookies so that whenever we have a gathering or potluck to go to during the holidays I can just grab a container knowing that there is a good variety of treats inside.
The cookie pictured on the bottom right is a White Chocolate and Cranberry Shortbread ~ I will be sharing the recipe next week ~ it’s amazing!!!!
Mixed cookie containers all ready for the freezer…
Yum, yum, yum!
My best cookie recipe for exchange party:
Caramel Tarts
Super easy but delicious and cute.
36 mini tart shells
5 Mackintosh toffee bars
½ cup evaporated milk
1 tsp butter
Pre-cook tart shells as directed on package. Melt the toffee, milk and butter together in a double boiler. Cool. Fill tart shells. Top with rosebud. Not Really cookies but still little and cute and definitely transportable.

Freezing mixed containers is a brilliant idea!
