Where this momma uses the culinary abilities of her own children to test out recipes for her Preschool Mini Chefs Program.
On the menu this week?
Apple Pie!
First Cameron {guinea pig #1} helped to mix up ingredients for our pie crust.
We used my grandmas recipe.
“It’s got raw egg Mommy?’
“Yeah, that’s why you’re not supposed to eat it until it’s cooked.”
“Don’t worry Mommy, it still tastes good.”
Note to self ~ have dough already prepared for my Mini Chefs.
Our dough all ready to go.
We used homemade Apple Sauce for our filling.
Cameron loved filling the tart shells.
And watching our Apple Pies baking in the oven.
But I think that he liked eating them the best!
Where is guinea pig #2 you ask?
He wasn’t interested in participating today.
Didn’t even want to try a warm Apple Pie!
All in all a very successful Cooking With Kids. I can’t wait to make these with my Preschool Mini Chefs!
