Fill the cavity in the middle of the ball with stuffing.
Weave a long tail with tapestry needle to cinch the opening closed. Knot twice and weave in ends.
Use a 6” length of yarn to create a loop for hanging. Or string a number of crochet balls together to create a crochet garland.
Ball variations:
- Increase the number of stitches to create larger balls.
- Use worsted weight yarn and a 5 mm hook to make a small ball.
- This free crochet pattern can be used to make sensory toys, bean bags, hacky sacks, stress balls or dryer balls.
- Instead of using a sl st at the beginning of each round, the ball can also be worked in continuous rounds.
