Are you crocheting with 2 strands of yarn or just 1?
I'm a beginner crocheting and this pattern looks easy enough for me to understand. Thanks.

Heather, these slippers are wondeful! I've recently learned to spin and I have balls and balls of quite 'textured, uneven' handspun alpaca yarn to use. As you can imagine, the unique qualities of this yarn makes a bit tricky to work with but I can't bear to waste it. I made a pair of your slippers and my toes are wrapped in soft squishiness, thanks so much for your beautiful patterns ♡

Thank you so much for this simple pattern! I first tried to make a pair of lace up crochet flip-flops, and I can tell you, it was a complicated, tangled mess. These slippers actually stay on my feet, too. I would like to share than in order to get rid of the triangle-ness of the heel of the slipper, at the end, instead of doing 16 dcs, I did 5 dcs, 6 dc2togs, and 5 dcs. I know adding in dc2togs kind of defeats the purpose of simple, but I figured I'd share. Thanks!

Yes, I actually turn the piece as I found that this helps to prevent the circle from "waving". However I have also stitched around {and not turned} and that has worked too.

This will be my first project and I have a question. For the toe part. When you say turn, you actually turn the piece? I kept going around making a circle, but now I am not sure...
