I fell in love with this Joy Sign on Pinterest and finally had a chance to create one of my very own!
I love projects that are cheap and inexpensive!
I had all of the materials for this display laying around the house and yard.
I pulled out a piece of plywood from our scrap bin about 1.5x4ft ~ already the perfect size. Then I painted it with brown acrylic paint, allowed it to dry, painted it white, allowed that to dry, painted “joy” freehand in red, allowed that to dry then sanded the whole thing with my rotary hand sander. It was so fun! ha ha I finally painted on a clear coat of varathane to seal the whole thing.
This little moose from my stash of Christmas decorations was the perfect addition to our display. I also stuck a large fir branch into one of my terra cotta posts, wrapped it with lights and embellished with ribbon.
Have you been working on any DIY Christmas decorations?
Please share ~ I would love to see them!
This is so pretty! I’m loving that moose.
