You guys!!! I am BEYOND excited to be headed to SNAP Conference in Salt Lake City today! Soon I will be surrounded by 500 talented, creative bloggers! I can’t wait to meet some of my favorite people in real life and give them all a giant hug! To celebrate with you, Abbey from The Cards We Drew has created this epic blog hop to showcase Crafts in a SNAP {15 Minute Craft Ideas} that ANYONE, whether beginner or seasoned pro, can learn to create in no time at all!! I am sharing my DIY Logo Tote tutorial – with an easy way to personalize any bag or purse. Be sure to scroll down to check out some of the projects that my blogging friends have made in a SNAP…
I mean, how fun do all of these crafts look?!? Seriously. Find links to all of the awesome Crafts in a SNAP at the bottom of this post.
Lets get creating!
Supplies:
thrifted tote
freezer paper
scissors
iron
acrylic paint
sponge dauber
paint pallet
Step 1: cut the logo out of freezer paper. Iron the paper to the tote. Be sure to press around the edges carefully to fully adhere the paper to the fabric.
Step 2: daub paint into the logo stencil that you have created. Be sure to place a piece of scrap paper behind the fabric that you are painting so that the color does not bleed through to the other side.
Step 3: allow the paint to dry. Peel the freezer paper off and you are all set!
I chose to use my favicon (the little symbol on my website tab bar) because it is easily recognizable and I love the graphic look of it. Plus it was fairly easy to cut out and paint. A more intricate logo would take a bit more time and cutting skillz *wink*.
Here’s a sneak peek of what I will be toting around at SNAP. A notebook, my new business cards (LOVE) and iPhone.
Heading to the airport now… SO EXCITED!! I hope that I haven’t forgotten to pack anything! Enjoy the rest of these Crafts in a SNAP!
