DIY Rustic Candy Canes
I have always loved the look of rustic and primitive decorations, especially around Christmas. Whenever I visit craft fairs I am attracted to the vendors with distressed, wooden, old school displays and goods. So when the boys and I started creating ornaments for the few Craft Fairs that we are in this winter I knew that I wanted to add a colourful, primitive element and these Rustic Candy Canes fit the bill.
These are created simply by wrapping fabric around a plastic, dollar store candy cane and affixing it with hot glue.
Maggie from Eyeballs by Day, Crafts by Night has a great tutorial on how to make these if you would like to check it out. We sold them in bundles of three for $5.
We made a few giant rustic candy canes as well and sold out.
What kinds of Christmas crafts have you been making?
How much did you sell the large candy canes for?
$2 if I remember correctly
