In reply to MeL. I "clanks" against the supporting tree but doesn't make noise outside of that. You could add several strands of beads or shells to the bottom to create more noise :)

This is lovely and I want to show my high school students how to make them. Does this wind chime make any noise or is there a way to adjust it so that there is some sound?
