Arrows seem to be popping up everywhere lately.
With projects this gorgeous, it’s hard not to get on the bandwagon!
This is a fun, beginner project that uses up some of those scrap pieces of fabric that you may have laying around.
The quote “find your direction and keep moving” really speaks to me.

Here’s what you will need to do to create your own canvas…
Gather your supplies: a canvas {mine was 12″ x 16″}, scrap cotton fabric, scissors, paint, paint brushes, Mod Podge and a pencil.
1. Paint the canvas using acrylic paint. Allow it to dry completely.
2. Cut sixteen rhomboid shapes {1″ x 2″}, two long strips {.5″ x 12″} and two triangles {2.5″ x 2.5″} out of the scrap fabric. A lightweight quilting cotton works best.
3. Arrange the fabric on the canvas. Play with the placement of the patterns and arrows.
4. Mod Podge the fabric to the canvas. Apply the glue first to the canvas, lay the fabric on top and coat with more glue.
5. Paint the quote onto the canvas. Using the pencil, lightly write the quote onto the canvas to be sure of word placement. Go over the pencil markings with paint. You could also use a paper cutting machine or stickers for the letters.
There are so many different things that you could create using this technique.
This is a great way to use up some of those fabric scraps!
I love the contrast of the different fabric patterns and colors.
Coral is fast becoming one of my favorite colors and I love seeing it paired with blue in this Fabric Arrow Canvas Quote.

Cute idea. I’m always looking for ways to use fabric scraps.
Awesomely Cute! I really like the red background. That makes the arrows pop out more. And yes, I agree, it’s definitely a great way to use all those left over scraps. Great Job!
