More Fun Cocktails and Drinks for 4th of July:
- Red drink ideas – Strawberry margarita, watermelon margarita, red wine sangria, drinks that use cranberry juice like a vodka cranberry or pomegranate mimosa.
- White drink ideas – White wine spritzer, white wine, pina colada, mojito, or white sangria.
- Blue drink ideas – Blue Moscato margaritas, electric iced tea, Blue Curacao mojito, or blueberry mojito.
Tips and Tricks:
- Use nice, ripe fruit in your cocktails. The flavor really makes a difference to your finished product.
- If you want to avoid seeds from the fresh berries in your cocktail, strain your drink through a fine-mesh strainer.
- While you can use frozen berries for the cocktail itself, I highly recommend making your garnishes with fresh ones.
- I like to use a highball glass, Collins glass, or another tall glass for serving this easy cocktail. The height of the glass is perfect for showing off those gorgeous layers.
- Don’t have Blue Curacao? You can use Triple Sec or Cointreau, along with a few drops of blue food coloring, instead.
- Love a good cocktail, but you also want to cut back on your sugar intake? Make your own sugar-free simple syrup or try an alternative like agave nectar. Choose drinks that use club soda or tonic water, instead of sugary pop.
