When I switched to a ketogenic lifestyle and lost 85 pounds I totally thought that spinach dip would be lost to me.  But it’s not!  And today I am excited to share these super yummy keto spinach dip breadsticks with y’all!

Traditional bread has ingredients like; wheat flour, high fructose corn syrup, hydrolyzed soy protein, interesterified soybean oil and wheat gluten that are not keto!

The not so secret ingredient in this recipe is cheese, a staple when following a keto diet! Combining mozzarella cheese and almond flour is the key to creating the fathead dough used in this recipe.

How to make keto spinach dip breadsticks:

Ingredients:

This easy recipe makes twenty-four breadsticks with one net carb each. It’s based on this keto breadstick recipe that we all love!

Tip: store bought spinach dip filling may be used, be sure to check the nutrition label for hidden ingredients.

Directions:

1. Combine the dry ingredients, almond flour and baking powder in a stand mixer with paddle attachment.

2. Place cream cheese and mozzarella cheese into a microwave safe dish. Microwave on high in 30 second intervals, stirring between, until the cheese is completely melted. This usually takes about 2 minutes.

3. Add the cheese mixture to the stand mixer and combine with the almond flour. Scrape down the sides and remove cheese from the paddle with a rubber spatula if necessary.

4. Add the eggs and combine into a soft dough.

5. Place the dough in the refrigerator to cool for 30 minutes.

Tip: Chilling the dough makes it easier to cut and work with.

6. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

7. Divide the dough into two and place a dough ball between two sheets of plastic wrap and use a rolling pin to flatten it into a rectangular shape about 1/4″ thick. Repeat for the second dough ball.

8. Spread spinach dip over one rectangle of dough.

9. Top with mozzarella cheese.

10. Layer the second rectangle of dough over the first.

11. Use a pizza cutter to cut the dough into 1″ x 4″ strips on each side.

12. Twist each strip of dough.

13. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the tops of the breadsticks start to turn golden.

After baking you can use a butter knife to separate the individual breadsticks if needed. To enjoy, guests simply pull apart the spinach dip breadsticks one by one.

How to store spinach dip breadsticks:

  • 2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup keto spinach dip, prepared
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
