Mad Hatter Tea Party – Part II

The Table
This party was so BIG that I have had to split my posts into two: the Decorations and the Tablescape. We had kept our fingers and toes crossed and, although we had cooler temperatures and a lot of wind, NO RAIN! YAY!!!! Here are the deats on our Fabulous UnBirthday Party:

Mad Hatter Tea Party – Part II

The tablescape came together beautifully! The tissue paper pom poms and paper lanterns added much needed colour!

Place settings included antique china, paper napkins (with hand made napkin rings) and silver tea spoons.
Mad Hatter Tea Party – Part II A view from the top – we made egg salad and tuna salad snapdragonfly sandwiches on PERFECT pinwheel (white/brown) rye bread.
Mad Hatter Tea Party – Part IIA graceful looking place setting.
Mad Hatter Tea Party – Part IIFor the little ones – Bread and Butterfly Sandwiches (peanut butter and jam on white and brown bread).

Iced Tea – I created the labels using chipboard and chalkboard paint – Love It!

I created these cute little food labels with my Cricut and fab find teapot buttons!

For the scones…

Another gorgeous place setting!
Mad Hatter Tea Party – Part III baked every last goodie on the table! I used my grandmas pastry recipe for these and filled them with plum jam that I had made using plums from our very own tree in the backyard!

Mad Hatter Tea Party – Part II Mad Hatter Party Pinwheels.  You know when something is so good that you don’t want to share it? THAT was the case with these pizza buns. Too good!
Mad Hatter Tea Party – Part II Looking Glass Lemonade – in an antique coffee carafe.

A couple of guests enjoying tea! (My moms good friends)
I hope that you loved looking through our photos! This party was a blast, we will have to do it again soon! Thanks to my mom, Kathryn and Lesa for all of your help and support!
Happy Easter!

Hi Heather, I just found your blog via Creative Party Place and posted your Asian birthday party on my blog with links back to you. I love your blog. Do you mind that I posted the Asian party, and may I also post your Mad Hatter tea party? I think you are pretty creative and amazing!

This party is REALLY WELL DONE! I’m possibly planning a “Mad Hatter” themed bridal shower for a friend of mine in a few weeks! Lots of inspiration and I know you put a lot of work into everything! Thanks for sharing 🙂
