Today I am sharing how to create fun Monster Embroidery Hoop Art. We absolutely love monsters around here so it is no surprise that they have begun to show up in our wall art!
How to create monster embroidery hoop art:
Check out the tutorial for how to make this Embroidery Hoop Monster Craft. Once you have a cute little monster hoop made, let me show you how to embellish it with a fun word or sentiment. This monster craft is super easy to make! Promise.
You will need:
- Cotton fabric stretched out onto an embroidery hoop
- Embroidery floss/thread
- Needle with a large, skinny eye
Directions:
Begin by sketching the word onto the fabric in pencil or chalk. I chose “hello” for this Monster Embroidery Hoop Art.
Thread the needle and tie a knot in the end. Start your stitches at one end of the word and work your way to the other end.
Create a stitch.
Now poke the needle back through the material about a stitch length away from the first stitch.
Double back and finish the stitch in the same spot where the first stitch ended.
Repeat this process…
until all of the letters are complete.
The back of the hoop should look something like this.
Here is our finished project. Cute right?!

- These paint brushes are ideal for most craft surfaces and a great price!
- This art supplies kit is our favorite because it has everything we needed to get started.
- This rolling storage cart helps to keep our craft supplies organized.
