Today I am sharing how to make these cute monster finger puppets. This craft is easy and fun to create with the kids!
You are going to love this cute, quick and easy craft. We have been making all sorts of monster projects lately like this Roll a Monster Game, these Plush Monster Dolls and this Embroidery Hoop Monster Craft.
This year I wanted to create something with my little guys that they could use as simple Christmas gifts for their class mates. This is what we came up with.
How to make Monster Finger Puppets:
Supplies:
- sewing machine and thread
- felt material
- fabric paint
You will need a variety of felt material scraps, white and black fabric paint, a sewing machine and accessories.
Begin by cutting the felt into small rectangles about 1″ x 2″ in size. We cut some with spikes at the top or with little horns.
Sew two rectangles together leaving the bottom side open.
Use the fabric paint to create monster features.
My boys are six so painting monster eyes, mouths and teeth was the perfect task for them.
Isaiah loved painting on the monster features!
Here are our monsters all lined up. We will need to create at least forty four Monster Finger Puppets if we want to hand them out to each classmate {{wish us luck}}. In the meantime it is fun to play…

Some of our essentials for kid crafts:
- We love using these Apple Barrel Acrylic Paints (aff link) to add bright color to all of our projects.
- These paint brushes (aff link) are ideal for most craft surfaces and a great price!
- This art supplies kit (aff link) is our favorite because it has everything we needed to get started.
- This rolling storage cart (aff link) helps to keep our craft supplies organized.
Thanks so much for reading!

These are super adorable! I have some cute little faces in my embroidery library…. think I might have to make some of these for my childrens’ classroom. I am certain their teachers will enjoy it! Thank you for sharing. ~ Julie @ LA Strawberry Adventures
