These oreo cinnamon buns are sure to be a hit with the Oreo lover in your life! Dark chocolate cookies and vanilla frosting goodness is always a win.
The term “cinnamon” in this recipe is just used to describe the traditional way these are rolled like cinnamon buns. There is no actual cinnamon in the recipe.
Oreo cinnamon roll recipe:
Ingredients:
- 391 g container of Pillsbury Pizza Crust
- 100 g Oreo cookies (about 14 cookies), crushed*
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1 cup vanilla frosting
* reserve 1 tablespoon of fine oreo crumbs for topping.
Directions:
1. Pre heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking tray or casserole dish with parchment paper.
2. Place the Oreo cookies in a large freezer bag and use a rolling pin to crush the cookies.
3. Open the can of dough, stretch and unroll it onto a flat, floured surface.
4. Spread butter and sugar evenly over the dough.
5. Top the dough with crushed Oreo cookie crumbs.
6. Roll the dough into a log, pinching the edges of the dough together.
7. Cut the log into 12, 1″ rolls.
8. Place the rolls onto the prepared tray and bake for 20 minutes.
9. Spread frosting over the rolls and top with reserved Oreo crumbs.
These oreo rolls are best served warm and melty!
How to store this Oreo dessert:
If you have leftovers of this recipe, you can store them in an airtight container (or covered in plastic wrap) at room temperature for a day or in the fridge for up to one week.
