What are peanut butter rice krispie treats?

Rice krispie treats are primarily made of rice krispies cereal, melted butter and mini marshmallows. These peanut butter treats are made even easier by simply using pre made cereal treats, dipping them in chocolate and then covering them in candy.

Chocolate peanut butter rice krispies treats are the best thing that you’ll eat all year. This gooey treat reminds me of these Halloween candy peanut butter cookies – seriously so good!

I love how festive this treat is with the mixture of orange, yellow and white colors! It can easily be adapted to include whatever candy the kids have left from trick-or-treating.

Try using: natural peanut butter, pretzels, peanut butter chips, white chocolate chips, aero bars, reeces pieces, sea salt, chunky peanut butter, smarties, semi-sweet chocolate chips and more!

4.  Add candy to the melted chocolate before it cools – I like to have it ready in small bowls. Press the leftover candies into the chocolate so that they really “stick”.

5.  Place the crispy treats in the fridge and allow the chocolate to harden completely before serving.

TIPS FOR MAKING THESE EASY HALLOWEEN TREATS:

  • Use Wilton candy melts for best results, the wafer chocolate melts the best. Add one teaspoon of coconut oil to other melted chocolate chips to help them melt and pour better.
  • Lay the chocolate covered treat on a parchment lined baking sheet for easy moving and transporting before the chocolate has hardened.
  • Place the chocolate in the fridge or freezer to completely cool before serving.
  • Store these yummy treats in a large freezer bag or airtight container for up to three months at room temperature. They can also be stored in the fridge to prevent the chocolate from melting.
