Ingredients:

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 cup (300g) leftover roast beef, thinly sliced*
  • 6 slices (100g) provolone cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise or homemade garlic aioli
  • 1 Tbsp butter, melted
  • Sesame seeds or poppy seeds

** deli roast beef works as well but we love to use the leftovers from this mouth watering roast beef recipe. They make the best roast beef slider buns!

Directions

1. Prepare ingredients.

2. Slice the sheet of Hawaiian rolls in half with a serrated knife, leaving the individual rolls intact.

3. Spread the mayonnaise on the inside of the rolls.

We also love to use this homemade roasted garlic aioli or Alabama white sauce. They add a great punch of tangy flavour to these sandwiches.

4. In a rectangular baking dish or baking tray layer the bottom of the rolls with thinly sliced roast beef.

5. Add a layer of provolone cheese.

6. Place the top buns over the layers.

7. Melt butter in a small bowl, brush the tops of the rolls with the melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

8. Bake for 10-15 mins at 350 degrees F.

9. Use a knife to cut the buns into individual roast beef sandwiches and serve.

Tips and tricks

  • This recipe can easily be turned into full-sized roast beef sandwiches instead of mini sliders.
  • Put out some crispy bacon, crunchy lettuce, tomato, and a pickle slice or two, for those who would like to add a little extra to their slider.
  • Store refrigerated leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Easily turn these into french dip sliders by making an au jus with beef drippings, worchestershire sauce and garlic powder.

  • Try making a creamy horseradish sauce or our homemade bbq sauce to spread on the buns.
