This gorgeous cake was my contribution to Turkey Dinner this year.
Then I placed them on a leaf covered in Saran wrap…
I remember both Darcy and our teenager asking me if I’d been drinking LOL.
Thanks for visiting!

Oh my gosh GORGEOUS! They turned out beautifully. Maybe I shouldn’t be so scared of fondant and try it out too. Great job!
Impressive! You may have just brought me out of my fear of cake decorating cave!
I’m just dropping by from the link party and I love your cake! I can’t believe how realistic those leaves look. It turned out amazing!
Congratulations on your awesome creation. It’s absolutely beautiful!
Gum paste, I’ve never heard of that. I watched one of those fancy cake shows and was impresseed with their new use for rice crispy to as sculpture pieces. I’ll have to try gum paste sometime, your leaves look great!
It’s a beautiful cake! Thanks for linking up with Fantabulous Friday! @ mommaskindacrafty!
Gorgeous & I love the finish on it!! I’ll be featuring this at this week’s Craftastic Monday – be sure to grab a featured button:)
that cake is fantastic. and as someone who teaches basic fondant classes, it is way easy. you could even buy my mom’s dvd of start to finish cake decorating to learn about it. but that is not why i am posting :)
i am posting b/c a lot of people think you don’t have to put frosting under fondant…but you do. fondant is like wrapping paper, you just peel it off to get to the good stuff, lol!
LOVE this cake (and those monster cakes…my friend and i are doing a monster party in nov. so maybe i will try the modeling choc. on that cake!)
good luck in the future w/ cakes.
Looks incredible! I’ve never worked with gum paste before… might have to give it a try… and the vodka painting sounds like fun too!
So pretty! Love the colors.
