There are certain vintage recipes that don’t live in a defined category. Some people call them sweet salads, for some they are dips, and for others, they are the perfect dessert.

Too busy to make this right away? Pin it for later! Pin this post to your favorite board on Pinterest and it will be there when you’re ready!

The definitions seem to be somewhat dependent on where you live. Here in the Okanagan, strawberry fluff dip is the perfect dessert for spring and early summer when strawberries are in season!

Most of these recipes involve some combination of pudding, Cool Whip, Jello, and canned fruit as their base. A sweet treat like this is perfect for any occasion and needs only basic ingredients.

Bring it to a baby shower, Easter dinner, potluck, or enjoy it at home as an afternoon snack.  This great recipe is a potluck favorite and one that the whole family loves!

Today, I am sharing one of these recipes that has become a family favorite, strawberry fluff. This simple recipe gets maximum strawberry flavor from a combination of fresh, juicy strawberries and strawberry gelatin.

What is Strawberry Fluff?

Strawberry fluff fruit dip is a delicious and creamy dip. This fluffy and sweet dip pairs perfectly with your favorite fruits, such as apples, strawberries, pineapple, or bananas.

It’s also great to use as a topping on yogurt or ice cream! The combination of Cool Whip mixed with the richness of cream cheese makes this irresistible at any party!

The best part about making this tasty treat is it only requires a few simple ingredients – cream cheese, Cool Whip, strawberries, strawberry jello mix, lemon zest, vanilla, and salt.

Tips & tricks:

  • Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor.
  • For the best results, use full fat cream cheese.
  • To achieve that perfectly fluffy texture, make sure to fully combine all ingredients together until smooth and creamy.
  • Add a little extra lemon zest or vanilla extract, if needed, for an extra burst of flavor.
  • This easy recipe is very adaptable! You can omit the lemon zest and fresh strawberries, if you wish. We recommend keeping the Jello mix, because this is what adds sweetness to the dip.
