Hello friends! Today I have a totally unique Party Favor tutorial for you. I absolutely love making these sour cream containers for all of our events and parties! I can’t wait to show you how We R Memory Keepers has made this craft project even more fun and easy to create.
I had the opportunity to use the new Fuse tool from WRMK and let me tell you, it is very cool! The Fuse is a heat tool that easily allows the user to create custom pockets and sleeves for use in sealing keepsakes, memorabilia, crafts and party decor. The tool comes with a fusing tip, cutting tip, ruler, stencil and tool stand. The welding tip creates a strong, clean, micro-weld seam that will not tear or separate, while the cutting tip allows you to create a slit in any plastic sleeve. This tool has it all and is a game changer for any scrapbooker or paper crafter – the possibilities are endless!!
I am excited to share that the fuse will be on SALE in a We R Memory Keepers Fuse Kit Bundle for one day only – July 1st on HSN. Reliable sources tell me that it will be a killer deal you guys! Here’s what you’ll get…

Now let me show you how you can use this kit to create these super unique party favors!
Step 1: cut one of the cards to 5.5″x4.25″. Trace and cut a heart in the center.
Step 2: cut apart a 2×2 photo sleeve so that you have only one layer of plastic.
Step 3: fuse the plastic to the back of the card, covering the heart and creating a window.
Step 4: fuse embellishments to the front of the card.
Step 5: tape the card into a cylinder shape.
Step 6: fuse the card into a cylinder. Fuse each end, remove the tape and then fuse the center.
Step 7: squash one end of the cylinder and fuse it together using the decorative fuse tip.
Step 8: fill with candy and squash the other end of the cylinder, fusing it with the decorative tip.
Here is the fuse in action. It is very easy to work with! Wait for the tool to heat up (about 5-10 minutes) and use a steady, firm pressure to fuse the material of your project. Be sure to use the WRMK heat resistant mat for all of your fuse crafting as the tool gets very hot!
I love how these unique party favors turned out! Seriously adorable and really fun to make. I love testing out new tools – especially ones as versatile as the fuse. Seriously, I have so many more ideas to share… stay tuned!
