These Valentine Sour Cream Containers are so darling! Sour cream containers are my absolute favorite container to DIY. They are such a fun and unique shape and require very little cutting, folding or math skills *wink*.
Check out all of the times that I have used sour cream containers!! And yes, they are the same shape as individual servings of sour cream that you find in pre-packaged salad kits!
Too busy to make this right away?! Pin it for later! Pin this project to your favorite craft board on Pinterest and it’ll be waiting for you when you’re ready.
How to make Valentine sour cream containers:
Be sure to check out this sour cream container advent and this sour cream container tutorial too!
All you need is a bit of scrap paper. I used this craft paper as a neutral base for all of my lovely embellishments from Target One Spot. Simply cut the paper 5.5 inches by 4.25 inches. Stick double sided tape to the paper as shown.
First create a cylinder shape by peeling the longest piece of tape and adhering the paper into a tube. Next peel a smaller piece of tape and squash that end together. Fill the container with candy or treats.
Peel the last piece of tape and squash that end together to close. Use a paper crimper to seal both ends (optional).
I think what I love most about these containers is how versatile they are! They can truly be used for any occasion!
With just a bit of patterned paper, twine, a burlap bow and dimensional stickers you can easily change the look!!
