It’s that time of year again, back-to-school!! Can I get a “hallelujah”?! If you have littles who have reached school age then you know what I’m talking about. While I love the freedom that Summer time brings, I also crave the routine and organization of fall. Which means more time for momma to get crafting WHOOP! Today I am sharing these adorable Wooden Apple Ornaments that we used as Teacher Gifts this year.
As you guys know, my favorite kinds of projects are those that are quick and simple to create. This little craft fits the bill! Bonus points that these wooden apple ornaments are super cute too.
I recently scored a pile of wooden discs cut from a tree branch. You could totally do this yourself if you have a handy-dandy table saw! I drilled holes in each round of wood to create a spot to tie a hanger for our ornaments. Once this was done we were golden and the crafting commenced. So far we’ve created Dancing Spiders, Reindeer and Snowmen out of some of these wooden discs.
There is just something about apples that screams “Teacher Gift” to me! It could be that here in the Okanagan we are surrounded with apples this time of year… regardless, what teacher doesn’t love a little something that says “we appreciate you”?
