Hey friends! Today I have an adorable Wooden Snowman Ornament craft to share with you. I love the classic look of a snowman and these are truly, so easy to create! Snowmen seem to be my go-to winter craft! I’ve made melted snowmen, simple snowmen, alphabet block snowmen, cork snowmen and magnet snowmen… just to name a few!! Let me show you how to create a wooden snowman ornament of your very own…
You should be able to find everything that you need to make this craft easily. Most of the supplies were pulled out of my craft room. If you don’t have a slice of wood to use as your base, no worries, just substitute a round of cardboard or cardstock instead. The entire project could be painted onto the wood as well, if you are not keen on gluing bits to the snowman. I was lucky enough to score a whole pile of wood discs that I have been crafting with for months now. I simply drilled a hole at the top of each one to create ornaments. Okay here’s what you need to get going…
Materials (affiliate links):
- 2.5″ wood slice
- White acrylic paint
- Orange paint
- Black paint
- Paintbrush
- Scrap of red paper
- Googly eyes
- Glue
- Twine
Directions:
Step 1. Paint the wood slice white.
Step 2. Paint on an orange nose and black mouth.
Step 3. Cut out and glue on a red tie.
Step 4. Glue on googlie eyes.
Step 5. Add a piece of twine for hanging.
Super fun and easy right?! It’s probably the biggest reason why I love to craft snowmen, there is very little room for crafting error with these guys. Even if you’re a crafting newbie or making these with a group of 20 kindergarteners… trust me, you got this!!
