Mason Jar Snowman Craft

This mason jar snowman craft is almost too cute for words! We are often holiday crafting because it's fun to make things to give to friends and family for Christmas.  This mason jar snowman is no different.

Materials

  • 500 ml wide mouth mason jar
  • White acrylic paint
  • Black acrylic paint
  • Black puffy paint
  • Paint brush
  • 1 – orange pipe cleaner
  • 2 – large googly eyes
  • Red gingham ribbon
  • 1 – 2″ cork
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun
  • Hot glue sticks
  • Mod Podge optional

Instructions

  • 1. Paint the entire jar white (this can take up to three coats for good coverage).
  • 2. Paint the lid and cork black.
  • 3. Seal with a coat of Mod Podge (optional).
  • 4. Allow the jar to completely dry.
  • 5. Cut off approx. 10″ of ribbon and glue it around the base of the lid.
  • 6. Cut off about 5″ of the pipe cleaner and twist it into a nose shape.
  • 7. Glue the nose to the center front of the jar.
  • 8. Glue the eyes above the pipe cleaner nose.
  • 9. Use the black puffy paint to create a smile.
  • 10. Fill the jar with candy or homemade goodies!
