Ingredients

  • 8 oz dill cream cheese room temperature
  • 1 cup white cheddar cheese finely shredded
  • 1/2 cup walnuts chopped
  • 1 cup pretzel twists
  • 1 cup Ritz crackers
  • 1/2 cup Breton mini crackers
  • 1/4 cup thin pretzel sticks
  • 1 pretzel rod
  • 1 Tbsp chocolate melting wafers
  • Candy eyes
  • Candy corn
  • Pecan halves

Instructions

  • Mix cream cheese and shredded cheese in a large bowl.
  • Stir the cheese mixture until well combined.
  • Place a large piece of plastic wrap on the counter.
  • Drop the cream cheese mixture into the center and wrap to form a ball shape.
  • Place the wrapped cheese ball in the refrigerator for at least one hour to firm up.
  • To make the turkey head, melt chocolate wafers in the microwave.
  • Use the chocolate to stick the eyes and candy corn to one end of the pretzel rod.
  • Place in the fridge to set as the chocolate cools.
  • Unwrap the cheese ball from the plastic and roll in the chopped walnuts.
  • Place the cheese ball onto a serving plate or board.
  • To create turkey tail feathers, layer the board with rows of pretzels, Ritz and Bretons.
  • Stick pretzel sticks into the top of the cheese ball to make more turkey feathers.
  • Press pecan pieces into the base of the cheeseball to create turkey feet.
  • Finally, place the pretzel rod into the turkey body, making the cheesy turkey complete.
