Halloween Cheese Ball Recipe

This halloween cheese ball recipe makes a fun appetizer for your next halloween party! It's one of those halloween recipes that's totally creepy and easy to create!

Ingredients

  • 8 oz roasted red pepper cream cheese room temperature
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese finely shredded
  • 1/4 tsp chili pepper flakes
  • 4 pieces of prosciutto
  • 2 white mints
  • Black food writer

Instructions

  • Combine cream cheese, shredded cheese and chili flakes in a large bowl.
  • Stir the cheese mixture until well combined.
  • Place a large piece of plastic wrap on the counter.
  • Drop the cream cheese mixture into the center of the cling wrap and wrap to form a skull shape.
  • Place the wrapped cheese ball in the refrigerator for at least one hour to firm up.
  • Unwrap the skull shaped cheese ball from the plastic.
  • Layer prosciutto over the top of the cheese ball, draping to cover the sides of the cheese ball as well.
  • Trim off excess meat with a knife.
  • Press indentations into the cheese to create a space for eyes and a nose.
  • Use the black food writer to add pupils to the white mints and place them on the skull.
  • Draw a nose and mouth on the prosciutto with the food marker.
  • Place on a large platter and serve with your favorite crackers or sliced vegetables.
