Crochet Gnome Ornament Pattern

Materials

  • 5 mm crochet hook
  • Yarn needle
  • Stitch marker
  • Worsted weight yarn brown
  • Chunky yarn cream
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun
  • Wooden beads

Instructions

HAT:

  • Ch 3
  • Row 1: 2sc into 2nd chain, 2sc in 1st chain, turn
  • Row 2: sc across, turn. (4)
  • Row 3: sc, 2sc, 2sc, sc, turn (6)
  • Row 4: sc across, turn (6)
  • Row 5: sc across, turn (6)
  • Row 6: sc, sc, 2sc, 2sc, sc, sc, turn (8)
  • Row 7: sc across (8)
  • SI St, fasten off.
  • Weave in ends.

BEARD:

  • Wrap chunky yarn around 3 fingers 12 times.
  • Pull off slowly to keep the shape and tie together with a scrap piece of yarn at the top.
  • Fan out and glue the beard to the bottom of the hat.
  • Cut the bottom loops of the beard and trim.

NOSE:

  • Hot glue nose to the center top of the beard.
  • Attach yarn to top of gnome hat, knot to create a loop.
