Begin: ch 17
Row 1: dc into the 2nd ch from the hook, ch 1, skip a st and (dc, ch) into next st, continue (dc,ch) every 2nd st to the end of foundation chain, ch 3, turn (8)
Row 2: skip the first st, (dc, ch) into each st, and for the last st, dc into the 2nd ch from the previous row, ch 3, turn (7)
Repeat stitch pattern until the entire skein of yarn has been used. At this point, sew the ends of the scarf together, using either a tapestry needle and the yarn tail or a sewing machine.
Place the chiffon scarf and the crochet scarf together, with wrong sides facing.
Sew from the right side of the fabric, gently pulling on the crochet scarf to stretch it as you go.
When stretched, the crochet scarf is about the same length as the chiffon scarf.
