  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp softened butter unsalted

  • For the crumble topping mix the flour, salt and brown sugar together thoroughly.
  • Then use a fork to mix the softened butter and dry mixture until crumbly.

  • Top with the crumble mixture and cover all the apples.
  • Bake in the oven for 35 minutes or until the crumble topping has browned nicely.
  • Remove from the oven and top with a scoop of ice cream and drizzle caramel sauce.

Notes

As you make the crumble topping the apples and their juice will melt the ingredients together a bit more.
