Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup homemade bbq sauce or favorite BBQ Sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup white onion finely diced (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp hamburger seasoning or Montreal steak spice
  • 1 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 12 slices of bacon cooked
  • 12 eggs fried
  • Cheddar cheese sliced
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  • Gather all of the ingredients.
  • In a large bowl combine ground meat.
  • Add onion, egg and seasonings.
  • Mix until well combined.
  • Use a kitchen scale to weigh out 5 oz balls from the meat mixture.
  • Form the balls into patties by hand or use a pattie press.
  • Place the patties on the smoker at 165 degrees F for two hours.
  • In a cast iron skillet, cook the bacon on medium heat.
  • Fry the eggs in the bacon grease (or olive oil) on medium.  Do not cover and fry until the egg whites are cooked (about 10 minutes).
  • Now place the patties on a grill preheated to 425 degre11. Cook for 8-10 minutes or until a meat thermometer inserted in the center reads 160 degrees F.
  • Flip half way through cooking and top each burger with a slice of cheese.
  • Serve each burger on hamburger buns topped with a slice of crispy bacon and a fried egg.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.
