Ingredients:
- 12 brussel sprouts
- 6 oz chocolate candy melts
- 2 oz white chocolate candy melts
- 1 Tbsp sprinkles
Directions:
1. Prepare the brussels sprouts by washing them, cutting off the stem and trimming off excess leaves.
2. In a medium bowl, melt the chocolate wafers in the microwave at 15 second intervals. Stir in between intervals until the chocolate is a smooth consistency.
3. Using a fork, dip the brussels sprouts into the chocolate and place them on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
Tip: using a fork helps the excess chocolate to drip from the sprout.
Note: be sure to cover each brussels sprout entirely with chocolate so that none of the green from the sprout is showing.
4. In a small bowl, melt the white chocolate wafers in the microwave at 15 second intervals. Stir in between intervals until the chocolate is a smooth consistency.
5. Drizzle the white chocolate over the balls and and top with sprinkles.
6. Place the brussels sprout cake balls into the fridge to harden before “serving”.
Don’t they look amazing though?! Totally just like a yummy Oreo cake ball, anyone would be fooled! I might serve them up with the real thing so that the kids don’t know which oreo cake ball is real until they bite into them.
