I am a sucker for brownies and chocolate chip cookies and oreo cookies. So when you put those three things together into one absolutely delicious brownie bar, my life has never been the same!
This recipe is full of rich chocolate flavour with a mixture of chocolate chip cookie dough, chocolate chunks and oreo cookie crumbs. By far this brownie recipe is one of our family favorites!
What are brownie bars?
These bars are most often made from a combination of brownie batter and cookie dough that is baked in a square pan. Once cooled they are cut into bars or squares for easy serving.

This chocolate chip oreo brownie bar recipe is super easy to make and take to parties and events! These fudgy brownies are chock full of chocolate goodness and are the ultimate brownies to make for dessert.

Ingredients:
- 1 box Betty Crocker Chocolate Chunk Brownie Mix
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 1/2 package Pillsbury Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
- 6 Oreo Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, chopped
Tip: pick up the Pillsbury cookie dough in the cooler section of your local grocery store. You could also use cookie dough made from scratch using this chocolate chip cookie recipe.
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees f.
2. Line the bottom of a square 8 inch x 8 inch non stick baking dish with parchment paper.
3. In a large bowl with an electric mixer or stand mixer with paddle attachment; combine brownie mix, water, oil and egg. Mix on medium speed until a smooth brownie batter is formed.
4. Remove the cookie dough from the package, place in a separate bowl and roll 12 teaspoon sized balls.
5. Roughly chop the Oreos into quarters and place into a small bowl.
6. Transfer the batter to the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly around the square pan.
7. Press the chocolate chip cookie dough balls and Oreo pieces into the top of the brownie layer.
8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Tip: slightly under baked the brownie bars to get the softest, chewy texture.
9. Move to a wire rack to completely cool.
10. Cut into 2 inch individual bars for serving.
