Crockpot Snowman Balls

This is the perfect treat for a Frosty the Snowman movie marathon – one of my favorite things to do during the Christmas season.  Let me show you how to make these easy corn pop balls…

Mini powdered sugar-coated desserts in paper liners are arranged on a wooden board. A red and white striped cloth and a zigzag-patterned napkin are nearby, along with a few red berries. A kitchen appliance is in the background.

Supplies

  • Crockpot – what I love about using the crockpot is that it has a huge capacity for mixing all of that popcorn and clean up is a breeze!
  • Cupcake liners – perfect for individual servings and not having to roll balls.
  • Large cookie scoop – a large spoon works too!
  • Parchment paper or wax paper – for easy drop and go clean up.
  • A large bowl – for mixing if needed.
  • Airtight container – for leftovers!

Ingredients

  • Wilton white candy melts – or use green food coloring with white candy melts!
  • A box of Kelloggs Corn Pops – homemade or store-bought.
  • Powdered sugar – for the snowy coating.
A pile of white chocolate chips and discs in varying sizes is spread inside a dark container. The smooth, creamy texture of the chocolate contrasts with the dark background.

Instructions

1. Toss the white candy melts into the crockpot, set it on low, and let it slowly melt for about an hour. (Pro tip: don’t be tempted to turn up the heat – low and slow is best!)

2. Stir the chocolate until it’s smooth and creamy.

3. Add the corn pops. Fold them gently using a long-handled spoon, making sure every kernel is coated in that delicious, chocolate goodness.

4. Grab your cookie scoop and drop large scoops of the coated cereal balls into cupcake liners on a parchment-lined cookie sheet. This trick helps the snowman balls stay in perfect shape without needing to roll them with your hands (less mess, more fun!).

5. Dust the balls with powdered sugar for a “snow-like” finish.

6. Pop them into the fridge for about an hour to let the chocolate set. Once they’re firm, you’ve got yourself a batch of delicious snacks that are perfect for your next fun holiday movie night!

Tips & Tricks

  • Shape without mess: Using the cupcake liners is a game-changer, but if you prefer traditional rolling, spray your hands with cooking spray before rolling to prevent sticky fingers.
  • Make it marshmallow-y: If you want a gooier texture, you can add 2 cups of mini marshmallows to the melted candy before mixing in the popcorn. It’ll give you those marshmallow popcorn ball vibes!
  • Storage: Store any leftover popcorn balls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Wrap them individually in plastic wrap for a cute and easy grab-and-go treat.
