Recipe Notes

  • You can use frozen cod fillets, but make sure to thaw them completely before cooking. Pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture before seasoning.
  • The cod fillets are cooked through when they are opaque and flake easily with a fork. You can also use a meat thermometer to ensure they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  • Cooking times may vary slightly depending on the thickness of the cod fillets and the model of your air fryer. Adjust the cooking time accordingly.

  • You can use other white fish fillets such as haddock, halibut, flounder, sea bass, sole, or tilapia. Again, cooking times may vary.
  • Adjust the seasonings according to your tastes. Try flavors like paprika, garlic powder, Old Bay seasoning, lemon pepper, or lemon zest.
  • If you are worried about the fish sticking, you can use nonstick cooking spray or parchment paper in your air fryer basket.
  • Store any extra cooked cod fillets in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Leftovers can be reheated in the air fryer or oven until warmed through before serving.
