Halloween Birthday Party
***Okay so I must start by giving you some background info. Before I had my twin boys I was a Program Coordinator for the Boys and Girls Club and before that, the YMCA. You name it, I came up with a program for it. From skating and swimming to camp outs and preschool crafts.
Ah, the joys of being a SAHM! All of my energy and experience is now devoted to my family! If the following seems a little overboard for a one year old party… can you blame me? I’ve been holding it all in for a year!!!!! LOL These pics are from October 24, 2008***
My Boys
Isaiah’s on the left, Cameron’s on the right
The Invitation
I used SU and misc. stamps, basic grey patterned paper and a bat from Michaels.
Spiderweb Dip
Cream cheese, salsa, guacamole and sour ceam.
I also had harvest veggies and dip and devil’s eggs :D
Tortilla Dippers
I cut out flour tortillas using halloween cookie cutters and baked until crispy
Gummie Worm Punch
A frozen ring of fruit punch with ‘worms’
The Spider Cake
I used two round cake pans, added black food colouring to chocolate icing, used gum balls for eyes and licorice for legs.
Spider
After completing the cake it did occur to me that BLACK might not have been the best idea for icing….
Spiderlings
Individual cakes for the boys
Mmmm Cake!
Cameron LOVED it! Isaiah, not so much…
Daddy and his little spiderling
A blonde little spiderling (is spiderling even a word?)
I put little Robert Munch and board books inside… really what do you give a one year old?
The Table…
The Living / Dining room…
Well that was fun! Only 3 more months until the next one! Dr. Suess here we come! (They’re going to be thing one and thing two this year… cute eh?) Check back for their 2nd Bithday Party – Dr. Suess Theme in October! Hee Hee…….
This is absolutely adorable! I love what you did with your boys’ birthday!
Nice cake design and birthday decoration.
