Baked Spinach Dip Details

I had the chance to swing by Superstore to pick up all of the ingredients without kids the other day.  With the boys in kindergarten, grocery shopping is so much more relaxing now because I am no longer having to drag them through the aisles with me.

I can actually take my time and create meals on the fly. It’s all kinds of awesome!! Most of the ingredients that you need can be found in the dairy section of the store.  I like to use Kraft Tex Mex Cheese because it is already perfectly seasoned and gives this recipe a bit of a kick.

Ingredients

Here are a few of the basic grocery store staples that you will need to get started with this easy recipe.

  • Cream cheese, room temperature
  • Tex Mex shredded cheese
  • Chopped frozen spinach, defrosted
  • Sour cream

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

2. In a medium bowl, combine all of the ingredients well. Reserve 1/2 cup of the Tex Mex cheese for topping.

Tip: squeeze most of the water out of the spinach before adding it to the cheese so that the dip doesn’t have extra liquid.

3. Scoop the cheesy spinach mixture into an oven safe, small baking dish.

4. Top the spinach dip with reserved shredded cheese and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.

5. Serve the cheesy dip hot out of the oven with tortilla chips, pita chips, sourdough bread or slices of french bread.

Yummm looks super good Heather! My spinach dip recipe is really similar to yours, and it’s so true. Every time I bring it, it’s always all gone by the end of the night!

Yum! This looks so good! I envy your easy going shopping trips too :)

This spinach dip is amazing! I have made it several times! Thank you so much for sharing it ?

Is there a way to make this in a microwave? I want to make it at work, but we do not have an oven. Thanks! :)

Will it work equally with fresh spinach? I have the biggest bag.

Hey there…just wondering if you did it with the fresh spinach and how it turned out? Thanks

I make this dip as spinach artichoke dip, but i use cream spinach instead its so much creamer and better.

Hello. I love this recipe and have cooked it a few times. Have you ever tried this in a Crockpot? I want to make for a event but I am scared I might mess it up. Lol. Like I might overcook or not cook enough.

How many people does this spinach dip, feed? I’m going to a party of 25 people. Thanks.

What size pan do you use ?

do you bake the spinach dip?

Since our stores sell in packages and not g it would be helpful if recipes give us amounts in what we can buy. As in: 1- 8oz pkg cream cheese, or one 16oz pkg frozen spinach, etc. Recipe is listing part g and part in Cup and tsp.

Can I make this in advance and store in the fridge before cooking for a couple days?
