With summer in full swing, now is a great time to create interactive projects with the kids that can be used all season long.

Lets create a bubble wand! Bonus points that these are perfect for the Mario fans in our house.
Supplies that you will need:

- Perler Bead Pegboard
- Perler Beads
- Iron
- White Ironing Paper
How to make these Mario & Luigi Perler Bead Bubble Wands:
1: Organize the supplies. For each wand you will need: 23 green or red beads, 16 tan beads, 16 black beads, 15 blue beads, 7 clear beads and 2 yellow beads.
2: On a large perler bead pegboard, build each wand using the beads. Keep a section of Mario and Luigi’s hat open for bubble blowing.
3: Create a head.
4: Add arms.
5: Create pants.
6: Add shoes and a handle.
7: Cover the beaded character with white ironing paper and use the iron to melt the perler beads together. Melt the tops of the beads until the holes begin to close. Repeat on the other side of the project.
When the bubble wands have cooled simply dip them into bubble solution for hours of bubble making fun! We made a bubble solution using dish soap and a bit of warm water. It worked like a charm.
