Ingredients

  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 8 slices of pepperoni

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  • Drop 8 large scoops of shredded mozzarella cheese onto the prepared cookie sheet, spacing them evenly.
  • Place one slice of pepperoni on top of each cheese scoop.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the cheese crisps are golden and crispy.
  • Once done, remove from the oven and allow them to cool slightly on a wire rack.
  • Serve with marinara sauce for dipping or enjoy them just as they are.

  • For the best results, make sure your shredded mozzarella cheese is at room temperature. This helps the cheese melt more evenly, ensuring a crispier chip.
  • Drop each scoop of cheese about an inch apart on your baking sheet to make sure the cheese crisps up individually rather than forming one big cheese puddle.
  • Want to add a bit more flavor? Sprinkle some parmesan cheese on top of the mozzarella before baking. The parmesan gives these chips an extra savory kick, similar to a cheesy garlic bread flavor.
  • If you’re short on time, you can make these pepperoni chips in an air fryer. Simply set the air fryer to 350°F and cook for 5-7 minutes or until the cheese crisps are golden and crispy.
  • If you have any leftovers (though I doubt you will!), store them in an airtight container for 1-2 days. To reheat, just pop them back in the oven or air fryer for a couple of minutes to bring back that crispy texture.
