Ingredients

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup leftover Halloween candy pieces

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees f.
  • 2. Line the bottom of a square 8 inch x 8 inch non stick baking pan with parchment paper.
  • 3. In a large bowl or stand mixer, combine dry ingredients. Add butter, egg and vanilla and mix until a soft dough forms.
  • 4. Add chocolate chips and leftover candy to the dough.
  • 5. Spread the dough evenly into the baking pan.
  • 6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown at the edges or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • 7. Remove from the square pan and allow to cool completely on a wire cooling rack.
  • 8. Cut into 2 inch bars for serving.
