- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup butter softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup leftover Halloween candy pieces

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees f.
Line the bottom of a square 8 inch x 8 inch non stick baking pan with parchment paper.
In a large bowl or stand mixer, combine dry ingredients. Add butter, egg and vanilla and mix until a soft dough forms.
Add chocolate chips and leftover candy to the dough.
Spread the dough evenly into the baking pan.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown at the edges or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Remove from the square pan and allow to cool completely on a wire cooling rack.
Cut into 2 inch bars for serving.
