Ingredients

  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup leftover Halloween candy pieces

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees f.
  • Line the bottom of a square 8 inch x 8 inch non stick baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl or stand mixer, combine dry ingredients. Add butter, egg and vanilla and mix until a soft dough forms.
  • Add chocolate chips and leftover candy to the dough.
  • Spread the dough evenly into the baking pan.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown at the edges or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Remove from the square pan and allow to cool completely on a wire cooling rack.
  • Cut into 2 inch bars for serving.
