Ingredients

  • 12 short ribs about 1lb, raw and defrosted
  • 3/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup onion diced
  • 8 cloves of garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp fresh ginger minced
  • 2 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 Tbsp white sugar
  • 1 Tbsp black pepper
  • Water
  • 1 stalk green onion sliced for garnish
  • 1 Tbsp sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  • 1. In a medium bowl, combine the marinade ingredients (excluding water).
  • 2. Pat the racks of ribs dry with paper towel and place them in a casserole dish.
  • 3. Cover the ribs with the marinade.
  • 4. Top with water so that the ribs are completely covered in marinade.
  • 5. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, overnight is better.
  • 6. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  • 7. Prepare a cookie sheet and line it with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
  • 8. Drain the marinade and place the ribs on the baking sheet in one layer.
  • 9. Place the ribs in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes.
  • 10. Garnish with diced green onions and sesame seeds.
  • 11. Serve with white rice or ramen noodles.
