Ingredients

  • 1 pound jumbo shrimp about 16-20 shrimp
  • 6 bacon slices
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  • 1. Place bacon strips on a prepared baking sheet and cook at 350 degrees for 5-10 mins.
  • 2. Allow the bacon to cool before cutting it into thirds.
  • 3. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towel.
  • 4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat, about 375 degrees F.
  • 5. In a small bowl, mix together the cayanne pepper, garlic powder and brown sugar.
  • 6. Coat the raw shrimp with the mixture.
  • 7. Wrap each piece of shrimp with a piece of bacon. Sprinkle with remaining rub.
  • 8. Grill the shrimp for 3-4 minutes per side for a total of 7-8 minutes.
  • 9. Flip each strip half way through grilling to help each slice of bacon cook thoroughly.
  • 10. Serve with homemade bbq sauce or sweet chili dipping sauce.
