- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 1/2 cup bbq sauce
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup white onion finely diced (optional)
- 2 Tbsp hamburger seasoning
- 1 Tbsp garlic powder
- 24 slices of bacon two for each burger
Prevent your screen from going dark
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground meat. Mix well.
Add the bbq sauce, egg and spices.
Combine until everything is mixed thoroughly.
Form the mixture into burger patties that are about 5oz each.
Layer the round patties between sheets of parchment paper on a sheet pan for easy handling.
Place burgers on the Traeger smoker at 165 degrees F and allow them to smoke for two hours.
When ready to serve turn the Traeger up to 350 degrees.
Wrap each pattie in two slices of bacon.
Place the burgers on the grill and cook for 10 minutes.
Flip each burger and cook for an additional 10 minutes or until the bacon is cooked thoroughly.
