Ingredients

  • 4 burger patties cooked*
  • 8 slices of white bread
  • 8 tablespoons of butter room temperature
  • 12 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 4 pickles

Instructions

  • Spread butter generously over one side of each slice of bread.
  • Slice the burger patties in half thinly.
  • Place a large skillet on the stovetop and preheat over medium-high heat.
  • Place one piece of bread, butter side down on the hot griddle.
  • Layer the bread with a slice of cheese, half a pattie, slice of cheese, half a pattie and a slice of cheese.
  • Top with another piece of bread, butter side facing out.
  • Grill the cheese burger for about 3-4 minutes on each side. 
  • Use a spatula to press the sandwich together and combine the melty layers.
  • Slice each of the grilled cheeseburgers in half and top with pickles.
