Ingredients

  • 1 loaf french bread sliced
  • 8 oz 250g ham, sliced
  • 8-10 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise

Instructions

  • Cut slices into the loaf of bread, about 1/2" apart and not all the way through to the bottom, using a large serrated knife.
  • Add mayonnaise to the inside of every second slice.
  • Next, stuff the opening with several ham slices.
  • Layer that with a slice of cheddar cheese.
  • Wrap the entire loaf in aluminum foil. Depending on the size of the pieces of foil, you may need to use two layers to reach all the way around the sandwich.
  • Place the package in the oven at 350 F.
  • Cook until cheese melts and loaf is heated through, about 20 minutes.
  • To serve, simply slice all the way through the bread to cut it into individual sandwiches.
