Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 3 Tbsp flour
  • 1 cup milk I prefer to use whole milk for the extra creaminess.
  • ½ cup beer
  • 1 tsp brown mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded I think sharp cheddar cheese gives the best results.

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Add flour to create a paste and then immediately add in the milk.
  • Use a whisk to stir the mixture as it thickens, so that there are no clumps.
  • Add beer, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Reduce to medium-low heat and add cheddar cheese.
  • Stir until all the cheese melts.
  • Serve warm.
