Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef cooked and browned
  • 1 pkg 2 Tbsp taco seasoning
  • 4 - 72 g bags Doritos
  • 2 cups lettuce shredded
  • ½ cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • ¼ cup pickles sliced
  • ¼ cup Big Mac sauce
  • White onion diced, optional
  • Sesame seeds optional

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat. As it cooks, break it up into small pieces, ensuring it gets nicely browned. Add the taco seasoning and stir to combine.
  • Take a bag of Doritos and crush it up slightly inside the bag. Then, open the bag and roll down the sides to create a bowl shape. This will hold all your delicious toppings in place.
  • Layer the shredded lettuce, cooked ground beef, cheddar cheese, pickles, and Big Mac sauce inside of the Doritos bag.
  • Grab a fork, dig in, and enjoy your Big Mac walking tacos!

Notes

  • You can cook and season the taco meat at home before your camping trip, which makes cleanup easier and speeds up the cooking process. Simply store the cooked meat in a sealed container or freezer bag and heat it up when you're ready to eat.
  • While Doritos are the obvious choice, you could switch things up with plain tortilla chips or another flavored variety. Plain chips let the Big Mac sauce shine, while flavored chips add an extra layer of seasoning.
  • Experiment with different types of cheese for a twist on the classic. American cheese, cheese sauce, or Tex-Mex cheese all work beautifully, depending on your preference.
